What is God’s heart for the created world? How might the Spirit be leading us in a changing climate?

Pastors and church leaders are invited to a Te Raranga Leaders Lunch Thursday 10 November. This will be a chance to relax and connect, and to engage with creation and climate as Christian leaders. Silvia Purdie will share her journey and prophetic challenge and there will be space for discussion.

For the past 5 years Silvia has led the Christchurch branch of A Rocha, a global Christian mission agency caring for creation. During the time the world has started to experience the effects of global warming, including massive mental health impacts on young people. Silvia has researched, initiated and invited the church to respond to God’s call to incorporate creation care in our life and mission, and published Awhi Mai Awhi Atu: Women in Creation Care
