Book launch: 'Awhi Mai Awhi Atu: Women in Creation Care'

Several Christchurch women are profiled in a new book on eco mission. Come along to the book launch to celebrate this initiative and be inspired about what your church can do for creation care. 

Awhi Mai Awhi Atu: Women in Creation Care, by Silvia Purdie, tells the stories of 30 Kiwi Christian women from diverse cultures and ministries. Plus prayer, poetry and action points. 

Silvia Purdie is a Presbyterian minister, counsellor & climate activist, currently based at Burnham.

Ani Kartikasari lectures at Lincoln Uni in sustainable development, and attends Hope Presbyterian.

Diana Johnson works with outdoor education and helps lead the Creation Conversations group at South West Baptist Church.

Ava Carter is the youngest contributor, age 12, with the Enviroschool programme at Rolleston Christian School

Courtnay Wilson is at Kaikoura Anglican Church and leads the Creation Care Study Program.

Plus Ira Schelp (Cashmere Presbyterian), Angela Pennington (Grace Vineyard), and Margot Fern (Cashmere New Life).

Join us for a lovely afternoon tea
on Sunday 3 July, 4pm at St Martin's Presbyterian.

No charge. Family-friendly. Will include a time of prayer, and inspiration about local church eco mission.
